Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information GoldList (operated by Helperama Inc.) collects, why, and how it's handled. GoldList is based in Ontario, Canada, and this policy is written with Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA) in mind.
1. Information We Collect

2. How We Use Your Information
- To match Seekers with relevant, approved Professionals
- To review and approve Professional applications
- To send account-related emails (approval notices, login links, billing receipts, renewal/trial reminders)
- To operate and improve the platform
- To investigate reports of misconduct or fraud
3. Payment Information
All payments are processed by Stripe. GoldList does not store your full card number. Stripe's own privacy policy governs how they handle payment data.
4. Email Communications
We use Resend to deliver account and transactional emails (approval notices, login links). If you're a Professional member, you may receive service-related emails; you can manage optional notification preferences from your dashboard.
5. Who We Share Information With
We don't sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers that help us run GoldList (Supabase for our database, Stripe for payments, Resend for email, Netlify for hosting), and only to the extent needed for them to provide that service to us.
6. Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period afterward for legal, tax, and dispute-resolution purposes. You can request deletion of your data at any time (see below).
7. Your Rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing hello@thegoldlist.ca. We'll respond within a reasonable timeframe.
8. Cookies
GoldList uses minimal, functional cookies/local session data needed to keep you logged in and to remember your search. We don't use invasive third-party ad-tracking.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
